HOW MUCH DOES CERAMIC COATING COST?

If you bring us an automobile and it needs paint correction, that process could easily be 15 to 30 hours, depending on your expectations as a client. When combined with ceramic coating, prices can balloon upwards of $3000 or more.

Depending on the condition of your vehicle prices can range from $500 all the way up to a few thousand dollars depending on what you are looking for.

Another factor that plays into the pricing for ceramic coating is the size of your vehicle. For example, a full sized SUV is going to be more expensive than a smaller compact vehicle.

WHAT IS THE BEST BRAND FOR PAINT PROTECTION FILM / PPF?

When considering paint protection film there are actually two things you want to take into account, not just the performance of the film but also how it’s being cut. This is an interesting thing that most people don’t take into account; all of the major film manufacturers provide pre-cut patterns for your automobile. Some of the patterns are very good and they’re very true to the shape of your automobile, others, on the other hand, are not.

Their product is serviceable, but the patterns that they provide have gapping issues and excessive amounts of seams. It takes what’s supposed to be an invisible material and makes it very visible, and that defeats the purpose of it entirely. Paint protection film by far the best way to protect your automobile, but there are some things to take into account. First and most importantly the installer, second and third is make sure you get a good name brand product but also make sure you’re doing business with somebody that has the best patterns.

This is the reason that we use Xpel Ultimate Plus. In our opinion, it is all of the above. Now, you do your own research and figure out what works best for you and then you’ll have the perfect combination.

WHAT DOES CERAMIC COATING DO?

Ever been afraid to ask? Not sure exactly what Ceramic Coating does? How long does it last? Not to worry, our owner answers all your questions in this video.

The answer is pretty simple… a lot. All different ceramic coating terms all have different characteristics with them and let’s just look at it real quick.

One-year ceramic coating is typically the entry point into the ceramic coating for most car owners. The one-year ceramic coating is really just there to make your car super shiny and a little easier to clean. Then you’ve got a three-year ceramic coating. Now right around that three-year term is when you get a coating that is thick enough to actually provide some protection. It is not going to stop your automobile from rock chips, it’s not going to make it bulletproof, it’s not going to stop a fire from burning It to the ground. What it is going to do is it going to give a thin protective layer on your automobile so that when hard water hits it or when you get bird droppings or tree sap whenever any of those instances happen there’s a sacrificial layer that can be polished to re-expose good crystal clear coat underneath.

Now when you get into the 5 to 7-year range it’s a whole different ball game. Depending on the manufacturer these things can be phenomenally thick. The thick 5 and 7 year coatings are designed to really and truly create a very thick layer that protects the clear coat from even the most robust damage. Now it doesn’t mean that you can neglect your automobile and still doesn’t stop rocks, however, things like hard water staining. even love bug damage have a little bit of a larger window where you have the ability to remove it from your vehicle but it doesn’t have to be done immediately.

Please understand that hard water may etch into even the five and seven-year ceramic coatings. However, it’s not going to get to your clear coat. That’s the reason that ceramic coatings are a necessity especially if you live here in the State of Florida or really anywhere in the Southeast… Southwest… South, in general.
